What is KOMPASS?
KOMPASS – “Compact Support for Solo Self-Employed Professionals” is a German public funding program initiated by the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (BMAS) and financed through the European Social Fund Plus (ESF Plus).
Its goal is to help solo self-employed professionals strengthen their professional, entrepreneurial, and future-oriented skills through targeted training and qualification.

What the program offers:
- Up to 90% subsidy for training costs
- Maximum funding of €4,500 per qualification
- Simple application process via certified KOMPASS advisory offices
- Funding applicable to selected AgileLAB trainings and certifications
Who is eligible?
KOMPASS funding is available to solo self-employed professionals in Germany who:
- work primarily as self-employed (main source of income)
- have been active on the market for at least 2 years
- employ no more than one full-time equivalent
- live and work in Germany
